Default Key fob not setting alarm or locking/unlocking doors.

I'm still trying to find my way around my '03 Discovery. I've checked in the owner's manual but it doesn't make any reference to this situation.

Should I lock and unlock the driver's door with the key, all locks function and the alarm is activated/disarmed. I can also lock all the doors from the dashboard switch.

For the life of me, though, I can't get the key fob to work as advertised. I've changed the battery and both buttons cause it to light, but the Disco isn't cooperating.

When I first found the truck on the lot, it all worked as advertised.

However, the dealerdid swap the Disco's battery for a new one.

I'm thinking my problem is related.

So, what do I do?

Thanks.

My 03 Discovery's fob didnt work when I bought it a few months back. It turned out to be the RF antenna which turned out to be 300 USD to switch out.

Take it back and have it reprogrammed, when they put in a new battery it may have lost the frequency and so now the remote and trk are not talking to each other.

That makes sense.

Seeing asI have to get a spare key anyway, I might as well have them try to do that why I'm there.

Anyone have $250 to spare?
