You should have some springs in there for shock loading so a heavier limb hitting the cable won't rip up your wing.

I'd think that learning how to steer and slow down would be more important than fending off tree branches at a speed that can rip off a wing through a limb riser . Although the lack of a substantial bull bar would indicate that the OP isn't crashing through any branchy terrain anyway.

All very true.

On St. Croix USVI, I am limited in off roading environments. Front bull bar is not needed anywhere but it is something i would like to have in the future. Our dinky trails offer adequate wheeling but the thorn bushes and unkept branches like to leave their marks on my rig.

The cables are mostly to protect the plastic A pillar coverings and i love the look. They do work on the trails so it is a win win.

I am also very cautious when I wheel but I can see where a branch heavy enough might damage my wing like antichrist mentioned but I just don't drive that fast enough off road. I can always take them down to clear an obstacle.

I found the spring.

I think I would get sick of being on a tropical island...after about 50 years.

I could get sick of it in like 2 weeks. I'm a hairy *** Italian, I can't take the heat. It's kind of like living with a fur coat on all day. I've been snowboarding for 10 years now, the last time I went I wore nothing more than my jeans (yeah, I'm from Jersey :P ) and a hooded sweatshirt. And that was early December in Vermont.

IM WILLING TO TRADE WHENEVER ANY OF YOU ARE READY!!!!

My Rover NEEDS to roam free. It's confined to this rock and it is getting anxious for REAL off roading.

So come and join us this Sunday, lots of off roading will be going on. Tons and tons of fun, supposedly it has been raining there for 2 days so it should be nice and sloopy.
