Default Listing Springs

This is something I noticed after my lift but haven't thought much of until tonight. How normal is it for the 4 corners of the vehicle to be out of level? I noticed the rear was off by about an inch so when I got home I adjusted it, and this threw the front out by close to two inches on one side. Now I remember why it was a compromise at the time.

What would the correct way to deal with this be? Insert a 1" spacer under one of the front springs and then level using the air suspension? What would the cheapest/fastest way to do this be? I'm used to having ride-height adjustment, so I'm not seeing how you're 'supposed' to do this on a traditionally sprung vehicle.

What year and mileage? What suspension, coils or air?

It was like that from the time the lift went in. RTE lift with 2" spacers in the back. It was never really level.

are the front coils side-specific? I know on the factory coils, there are different rates for each spring....

That's exactly what I'm wondering right now. With the rear set evenly, the front left is 11" and the front right is 10" almost exactly. I read the OME set has one longer than the other, these are both marked RR4-1 and I don't see any left/right indications on them. I even had them installed at Rovertym, think swapping them might have some effect? It would be a pain to do for sure. Adding a 1" spacer on the right side might be the best way to level things out. This may have something to do with the highway handling too.

Apparently some right-lean is normal in left-drive vehicles, and left-lean in right hand drives. I'll have to get someone to measure it when things are loaded up. Seems odd it would be balanced for a single driver though. If it levels out a bit I could always use some trim-packers to level it a bit.

RTE doesn't install matched springs, so you have two options. Front spacers like the Rover Isolators or the ARB spacers, both are pretty much the same and ad a little less then an inch so you can use one on either the top or bottom of the spring and a second on the other end if necessary. I would probably do this first, which by the way, I had to do with mine, then carefully in very small changes, slowy reset the rear to even up the front.
Too bad your are across the border, or I would try and call you.
It took me a few trys and lots of patience for me to get my 4 corners set but you can do it and keep all 4 with in 1/4".
