I just don’t understand how they could design something so poorly. All three clips sheared off for no reason other than old age.

unfortunately, age and sunlight/heat cycling does not help plastics. I agree that it's super unfortunate and annoying but even if they were metal clips they would still break where they met the plastic.

Happened to me too. I'm gonna bedliner a lot of my plastics soon.

New ones are available, however the trick is, when you take it in for a new windshield, which I'm on my 3rd or 4th one now... Have the glass guys break those, so they have to buy you new ones.

They are $90 each from Rimmer Bros.

I’m not even wishing they changed the material. There’s just gotta be a better design altogether.

Saw this after paying $130 for OEM ones. Ha. Oh well, honestly, I sold a new Range Rover for this disco, and it’s dirt cheap to maintain compared to that $1K car payment. No complaints spending a couple hundred here and there.
