As important as monitoring temps are it can be paralyzing to constantly be looking at them. I stopped monitoring them every drive vs maybe checking temps with my bluetooth reader sporadically just to confirm things are still good. Richard has the right idea of just drive it and keep an eye on fluid levels and basic visual inspections so long as keeping up with regular service intervals.
