I am coming into Land Rovers blindly, but I have always been a fan and I like that you can buy "mods" for them. I come from a german car background, but am looking for more of a daily driver.

I've seen some nice looking Discoverys on Cars.com and such for around $7k-10K with ~100K miles.

So my question is would you buy one of these. How long do they last? Any major maintenance costs in the near future of these cars? Any other input would be great.
