It wasn't humor, I am serious, why do you think you can install it into your vehicle, here in the states, do you have a good $10,000 plus to throw at it and how will you register it? I am always amused that so many want a diesel in their truck, even though you get a lot less power, have to make all the modifications and get to spend $5 a gallon for fuel.

I reckon it would be a much easier venture to try to get a Cummins 4BT in there, they are very common here in the states, and plenty of spare parts and mechanics with experience. They are also very common swaps for Jeep's so the chances are good that you could find someone somewhat local with one that you can have as a phone/email buddy to help out. they put out about a third more torque but then again itll be far easier to mate a ford tranny or whatever the jeep guys are using in the wrangler swaps and match it with hd axles and xfer case so the torque doesnt shread the LR parts. also, beefier front suspension, I don't know the weight of the stock LR 4.0 but even the baby 4BT is nearly 800lbs.

ps. reguardless it just isnt worth it evne if you really want it itd proably be much easier to import a right hand drive disco complete or find youself a nice 6x6 ambulance or military model from canada
