They really don't have the history to prove it, they failed on my trucks, they've failed on other's as well. I'm not saying other brands don't fail, but OME(apparently made by Monroe) fail as well.

The OME are still engineered by OME and made to the same OME specs and standards they are just built in a Monroe facility in SA because its cheaper for OME to contract the work to Monroe and only employ a handful of engineers to make sure the OME specs and standards are still being used for the product. Think about it it all about saving a few bucks to pay Monroe for the use of the equipment and a few engineers is way cheaper than having dozens of employees and all the overhead expenses to run their on facility.

That's unfortunate that happened but when they produce over 60,000 shocks a day yes a day out of the Monroe facility there are going to be flaws and some products will suffer early failure. Some of the problem is when products are so mass produced not everything get inspected properly and some not so good parts make it out to the customer. And that is the problem with replacing people with machine the machine doesn't touch it, feel it, and observe it like a human would do.
