mine sounds loude when its cold start up, not a clap but more of a bub bub bub. it lasts almost exactly 30 seconds, then the rpm drops from1.8ish to around 1 this is normal right? or is my 03 slidding down the slippery slope to? if it is ill just get a new oil pump, its worth it.

Truck is currently in the shop. The cause: Catalytic Converter.

Crossing fingers that they wont get in there and also realize that there is something else. Thanks everyone for the help.

 

sounded like it from here. Still make sure you stay up on your oil changes and watch for the light.
