Default loss of brake pressure

Last night, while driving my 97 disco 1, I hit a pothole ( something that happens every 2 seconds driving in NYC). Immediately after hitting the pothole, I had to tap my brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Luckily I found that if I pumped it a couple of times the pressure came back so I was able to stop the car. I haven't driven it today to see if it was just a fluke thing. I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this.

Thanks!

I would suggest you go look under the truck for leaking brake fluid, check the brake fluid level.
If everything looks OK, start the truck and slowly roll and brake to see what happens.
This is not normal, so check it out carefully.

Thanks Mike. I checked everything out and found no leaks and the brake fluid res. is full. I drove it around the block and everything felt normal. Then I went for a longer drive to the grocery store and everything's still fine. Just some kind of fluke I guess.
