Default Lost a caliper bolt...what size?

So I was backing out of my cousins house and heard a very loud and weird grinding noise. Come to find out one of my rear caliper carrier bolts had come out (the top one).

Anyone by chance know the size so I can get a replacement at the hardware store without having to unbolt the other side?

Not sure the size but they are class 10
Odds are one from the hardware store will only be an emergency fix.

Take out the remaining bolt, go to hardware store , and try to find a mate.

Do you have another vehicle to drive? I could meet you in Richmond with a genuine bolt.

As Tom has already mentioned, chances are a hardware store will not have a grade 10 bolt, go to a dealer or speciality hardware/bolt shop.

I got a temp replacement at a hardware store. A grade 5 (8.8) will easily last a week in the summer while I wait for a real bolt to arrive. Oh and a metric 10.9 bolt evidently is near equivalent to grade 8...not 10...same stress/psi characteristics and materials.

Ya I figured...working on them euros gets the brain in 100% metric only and you tend to forget standard exists!

Oh, I know grades also, use both, they just aren't interchangeable. At least I've never seen a metric listed as a "grade" or an SAE listed as a "class". I just got distracted and forgot the '.9'
