Default lots of play in steering wheel?

I've got play in the steering and was wondering if anybody else has had this? Will adjusting the steering box fix this?Thanks1st LR2000 LR Disco II190,000km

Be the most cost effective place to start (free)..and a good chance it will work. Check the Rave manual for instructions on doing this.

Check for play in the tie rods on each end of your drag link. I just replaced my drag link, it was quite loose with lots of steering wheel play.

Adjusting the gear box, especially when you don't know how is the last thing to do.
First check all your steering connections, tie rods ends and bushings, these are the most common areas to fail.
When did you last flush your p/s fluid?

Thanks for the reply I'll get under there and have a better look at all the steering componants. I have had the thing for about six months now and have only checked the power steering level. I'll check the manual to see how to flush the power steering. It does seem to be worse turning to one side as compared to the other. And, it will turn farther one way than the other as well??
