Default LOUD Squeaking from front wheel when turning at slow speeds or stopped

My 2000 disco started squealing / screaming when I turn the wheel either way at a low speed. I climbed under her in park and had someone turn the wheel back and forth. Sounded like it was coming from the axle cv joint area on the passenger side. Does it Sound like I need to replace the cv joint? Would it make a loud squeak noise when bad?

Did you check the power steering fluid?

Hmm, I replaced that power steering fluid a year ago but no I didn't check that. I'll take a look but the sound really sounds like its coming from the hub wheel area.

I'm probably wrong but hub in that bad of shape would most likely have ABS fault codes. No?

They usually do, like 99% of the time. But you never know...

That's interesting, I been having my hill assist light come on once in a while. Very intermittent but seeing her more often lately. Would that have anything to do with abs codes?

Default hub

It's definitely coming from the hub area, its a screech but not a belt type sound.

A creaking of metal type sound. Almost like an old door being opened .

Would the Hub or CV joint make this noise when the wheels are turned to the left and right?

Also could something in there cause my hill decent light to come on intermittently ? Just trying to figure out what to replace.

I can't find much on having the hill decent light on alone - without the other 2 amigos.

how about jacking up the front of the truck and see if you have a hub that falling apart on you.

Everything looks in place and solid on the ground but yeah, this afternoon I'm putting her up and taking the wheel off for a better look.
