LOVING MY DISCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently purchased a 94 Disco with 72000 miles on it. I bought it from the original owner who kept all of the service records and the Rover is in mint condition. I have never owned a LR before and was skeptical about purchasing it. I sold my 2007 FJ Cruiser, which I loved, to save money for when my son was born, which was on April 8th. I have been drivin the Disco for a couple of months now and I have to say that I love it more everyday I drive it. I am very impressed by all of the features that it has on it considering it is a 94 model, i.e. dual climate control, rear air, rear fog lights. It is quiet on the road and drives great. I put heavy duty bilstein shocks on it and now it drives like anew vehicle. I love that it has solid front and rear axles and the 4-wheel drive system seems great. I recently went fishing after a very heavy rain and when I was leaving I decided to take the Disco through some red clay mud that was fairly deep. When I dropped into the mud the Disco sank and would not go. I couldn't believe that I got it stuck the first time in the mud. When I got out to see what was going on I saw that I dropped down into ruts on each side of the Disco and the front axle was covered in mud and the mud was mid way up the front bumper. I backed up, cut the wheels and climbed right out!! [sm=icon_cheers.gif] I also wanted to thank everyone on the forum who has helped me with the very few issues I've had with the Disco. The cruise control now works and I will be getting the sun roof's fixed soon. Yesterday I had the windows tinted and now it looks mean [sm=badbadbad.gif]. I will post pics soon. In conclusion I feel I am turning into a die hard LR Diso fan.
