Default low idle on verge of stall

Hi Everyone!

I replaced my valve cover gaskets recently. After finishing, I started the beast and my idle was incredibly low. On the verge of stalling. I also got the battery light on the dash (which goes away after holding the accelerator down for a few seconds).

Any suggestions on what might have happened? What did I screw up and what should I look for to remedy this??

Thank you in advance!

Any engine codes? Check for any vacuum leaks after the MAF, and clean the IAC with some brake cleaner if you have not lately. The batt light is prob just because the alternator is not spinning fast enough. Find and fix the cause of the idle and it should go away.

assuming you connected ALL the hoses and clamped them down......

did you reuse the upper intake gasket or use a new one? Sometimes it will kink, and the new ones from AB don't exactly fit the guide pegs....

damaged the brake booster quick connect?

purge valve connections?

just a tiny leak will cause this....

Thank you for the heads up. I did throw 2 codes:

- P1121 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor
- P1131 Knock Sensor

Haven't found anything about those two on the forum.

Hmmm... I did replace the upper intake gasket but it went on without a hitch. Seemed good to me but I'll double check. I did buy a new purge valve so maybe it might be time to replace that as a fail safe?

If it was running fine before you took stuff apart than it’s probably something simple that you did
