Agreed. You have nothing to worry about with his Drive Shaft. He makes them solid, because he loves Rovers. It really isn't a money maker for him. Both Guitarded and I know first hand. He's a stand up dude.

Tim,
Don't worry for even a second...
I have one and it is a great upgraded serviceable shaft...

I see. So this is more of a "personality conflict" issue... That's a shame. I hope not something that's common to this forum.

It's common to every forum. Fisheh isn't too keen on LR2001, that doesn't reflect negatively on his driveshaft.

Have the driveshaft...bulletproof! Customer service...even better!! If you read actual customer comments (who that thread was intended for), they were universally positive (admittedly, I stopped reading shortly after my post though). Mine had the most negative "Customer" comment...nylock nuts he sent were the wront thread pitch.

Not entirely. He is a businessman who decided the appropriate response to questions was to talk out his *** and make stuff up (claim his propshaft was better than Tom Woods), and when called out on it to call people "butt pirates", "douche nozzles" etc. And to also continue to ignore legitimate questions and delete posts that were critical.
So what if you have a problem with one of his propshafts? Do you really want to do business with someone like that? When there are much more professional sources out there.

For something as critical as a propshaft attention to detail is critical. No DII's used coarse thread bolts on the output & input flanges.
He also refused to answer my question about the grease fitting placement, which actually had to be explained to him. Any propshaft builder should understand the concept of stresses..

Not an excuse, but he included the nylock nuts for free. Also, I have full confidence in the warranty. The guy posted on open forum a request for customer feedback. That could ended his business had there been a lot of actual customers griping about the product. Had he done the same thing via PMs, he could get feedback without risk. While I don't think any retailor should be a moderator, or that his post was the most marketing/business savvy idea, I give the man kuddos for putting his neck on the line and hope he continues the business.

I've no doubt his business will continue. After all, the thread where his true colors came out was deleted, so not many new people will know about it unless they go to DWeb and see the screen shots. Which will be few.

My two cents, on a recently (today) transaction with ProShaft llc.

I talked with LRsilver2001 on the phone about purchasing one of his drive shafts and he was great to deal with. From there he told me to send an email, to the email addy he supplied, requesting an invoice.

I received an invoice via Paypal and paid it.

From there, the customer service absolutely blows from another person other than LRsilver2001.

I was told that they couldn't send the product by the means I requested as it would cost them too much money since they were already giving me a good price on the product. When telling this person that I had an agreement that was to be upheld they continued to point the finger at me.

Upon further conversation, and requests, I found that what they were saying was in fact false and they could not sort out their own facts.

In the end, after giving them constructive criticism on how they were handling the issues and that I was very unhappy, they continued to point the finger back at me for their mis-commuication. Once they realized the extent of the conversation they finally apologized but at this point it too little too late.

I will be refusing the shipment and don't really have much good to say about the level of customer service. I don't care about how good the quality of the driveshaft may be, I won't support the product.

My advice to anyone dealing with ProShaft llc. is to make sure you have all the information and facts you need in writing and to make sure it's all crystal clear to this other person.

Nothing against LRsilver2002, just his co-partner who handled the transaction and shipping details.

I feel as though someone should be calling GURU06 some nasty names.

I feel a little bad about how the whole thing went down. Silver had actually contacted me directly regarding some questions I had posted about bleeding the air trapped in a heater core and although he didn't seem to have a proper technical description of what was and should happen, he did assure me that the air would be bled out from running the car harder than I had been which ultimately did the trick. I appreciated his efforts. But at the same time, I can't see a post like his by a vendor as anything more than self promotion. If you want to advertise, than do just that. If you want to just get feedback from your customers, than PM or email them. I think he just wasn't that savvy in his approach and tried to drum up a little business without really thinking it through. Once things began to turn in a direction that he wasn't expecting, he became defensive and overreacted. Once that started, things just kind of snowballed from there. Add in a little power trip as a new Super Mod and it turns into quite the train wreck.

Regarding his product, it appears that it is solid enough to get the job done and nobody that owns one has talked of any failures but just the same, anyone who is in the business of making driveline parts should know that hardware with coarse threads has no business on rotating parts. Also, it appears that the driveshafts are good enough for the task at hand due to mimicry, not through thorough engineering. That is probably good enough for some but personally I'm more comfortable buying a piece such as a front driveshaft in a full time four wheel drive truck from someone who can tell my why they chose the components and and design they used rather than just point at a picture of it and say it's better than anybody else's.

As for the customer service problems experienced, that's the first mention of any such issues. Sounds like it was very unpleasant. Maybe they don't like Canadians. He's in Arkansas - you didn't make any jokes about hicks or send him something like this, did you?
