Lucky8 4 inch lift kit Disco 2
Hi everyone, First post here. Has anyone purchased Lucky8 4 inch lift kit Disco 2, Just ordered. Want to see some pics, input about it and if anyone has installed it. Thanks in advance.
are you saying you just ordered the kit? or need info about it? or both?
I was going to get this kit but decided against it for several reasons. I have a 4" lift but I use 2" spacers and medium duty +2" springs. more options with my combo setup....like spring stiffness. Also, I use TF adjustable shocks +3" which are great rather than the ones in the kit which are not adjustable. The extended brake lines really need to be more like +4" to 6" for the extra axle movement if you disconnect the sway links.....or run the chassis brake lines towards the center of axle and make your own extensions.
I think it cost me less or about the same to build my own combo setup.....
also to consider: Check all of your spring seats for rust. They are going to be taking more abuse with stiff TF springs. Replacing all the spring cushions. 6 degree radius arms for the front to keep steering angles closer to normal. If you add 6 degree radius arms for rear, you may have to change out rear driveshaft if it has the rubber coupler for metal joint, or get a double cardan shaft. And maybe some spring retainers.....

One thing I did not like was that they will take orders for out-of-stock items and then let you know it's 'in a shipping container'.....
I've had very hit or miss with them. I stay away due to the quality of some of the parts they carry (serpentine belts for one) are trash and they know it yet continue to sell them. They are my absolute last resort if I'm in a bind for parts and even then I replace whatever I get as soon as I can get the part I wanted originally.
Sorry to hear that. I have not had any problems with them. They have taken returns from me without issue, even an installed out of balance heavy duty front driveshaft.....

I had a similar experience. I waited months for to receive a prop shaft, got the “shipping container” run around while my rig sat idle. If they would have told me upon receipt of my purchase I would have cancelled the order and sourced elsewhere to get myself back up and moving, but nope-just locked the T-case up a putted around until the magical day ups arrived at my house
