Default Lucky8 Terrafirma 3" Lift

Well after waiting 2 years to lift my d2 I finally did it. I went with the 3 inch TF lift from Lucky8 and I couldn't be happier with it. The on and off road road ride is far superior compared to the stock suspension that I had and I like it more than the OME. I have the OME setup and my 97 d1 and I'm not crazy about the ride and a friend of mine has the OME setup and his 03 and I really wasn't crazy about it either. For the money I really feel like this is about the best option. I am by no means knocking OME because they make a great product, but for me I feel like I made the right decision. I went with the 3 inch springs and +2 shocks. For tires I went with an aggressive tire, the Cooper Discoverer STT's in a 275/70/18. I also installed the TF damper and a Tom Woods double cardan front drive shaft which I also got from Lucky8. After the install I had gained right at 3 inches but after the tires went on I'm actually sitting around 5 inches of clearance gained. All of my measurements were done from the ground, not from the center cap. All in all the lift only took two and a half hours by myself with only a jack, two stands, bottle jack and a few speed wrenches.

And let me say this about Lucky8...they have earned a customer for life. I have called Justin there several times just to pick his brain and he has always made time to talk to me and given me his honest opinion. He never once has tried to sell me something I didn't need. Him and his entire staff are top-notch. He also sent me a free rotoflex, a sweet t-shirt, and some Lucky8 decals which I proudly rock on my disco.

Here are some before and afters...I only have clean shots at the moment, I got her filthy the first night then cleaned her up with snapping any pics

I am aware that the lift itself isnt affected by tire size but usually i see people want to see how much more clearance the wheel wells have, and my measurements went from 32 inches stock, from the ground the the wheel well, to 35 with the lift installed, and then to 37 inches after the tires were put on....looks to me like the tires gave me 2 more inches to play with

I understand, I'm not saying you're wrong.

The best way to do it is center cap to wheel arch. Also, now that you're lifted you should put a photo and the details in this thread -> https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...rements-56226/

Just finished putting a 2" TF lift on mine with 265/75/16 guard dogs. Took it off road last weekend and was thoroughly impressed. With CDL and TC it does a very good job. Never got stuck and we got in some pretty deep mud ruts and sinkholes. Only thing it couldn't do was climb what seemed like a 70 degree muddy wall about 20 feet high.

That was the motto of the day. This hill wasn't having it.
