Went to change my brakes and found out that all my lugs have grown bit. Watched the video about how to get them off with hammering the socket on, question is after I do that are the lugs completely destroyed or just the cap? Also does anyone know of any decently priced after market lugs I can use or is my only choice roversnorth and waiting a week for delivery?

Any vehicle I should look for in the junkyards or are these mostly just used by discos?

They’re trash. LR nuts are metric and tire shops don’t know this so they force a SAE socket on it which distorts the cap. I found this out the hard way a long time ago when I had a flat and went to change it. The wrench won’t fit on the nuts which are already hard to get off with the washer that corrodes. I have had to take a 10’ pipe and put on the breaker bar to break nuts before. No lie, like the way you would have to manually change a semi tire. Buy a replacement set and a dedicated socket that stays in the truck and threaten them that they are buying $225 worth of paperweights if they use the wrong socket. Then watch to make sure they use your socket. Use anti-seize on the studs and coat the nut washer between the nut and the washer so they won’t seize together.
