Default M1-301 Mobil 1 Oil Filter?'s

They looked it at Kragen Auto Parts and it calls for another # afterI bought the M1-301 since that was recomended here on this forum. I have an 04 and have always used Mobil 1 products on all of my other vehicles, but never have bought anything except what it calls for. Is this the one you guys use out there in your Disco II's and why, if it recomends another #? M1-301 Mobil 1

I use the K&N 3001. DiscoMike suggests the M1 you have, or the K&N I listed. Are you afraid it won't fit?

I just have never used any otherthen what it calls for. You know, you ask the guy at the desk or look it up in the book. As long as its the right diameter, then it will be fine, I was just wondering if the M1-301 is better than the actual # it calls for. Thanks

Disco2Guy-Have you ever used a leather repair kit on any small cracks? I have a few very small ones that I just descovered. You can't see them until you push on it, but I dont want them to get bigger noticable.

That oil filter is bigger so there is more filter element and therefore more filtering is being done.

As for then leather, dont worry about the cracks, just condition the leather no less than every 6 months.
Since you just bought the truck do that now than again in two weeks then every 6 months after that.

Not exactly, either year will take the same filter, they just weren't shown that way in the auto parts books. By the way they both have the same base plate and thread size.

I have not. I have an SD which has the Dura-Grain leather like material, so I don't know if leather conditioner will work. My seats looked fine when I purchased the D2 last year, but a few weeks after that I got a full set of Wet Okole seat covers. I forget what the seat color looks like anymore.

Thanks for all the info! Any wrinkles in your seat covers or do they fit like a glove like the add says?
