Wow that is good. How long ago did you do the gaskets? I'm hoping to get to 110,000 miles. I have changed the coolant twice since 49,000, since I owned it. This summer I am switching to Peak Global. Its so cheap at a local hardware store here. Like $7 a gallon.

You might want to go ahead and buy the gasket set though from AB(if you want). One of those HG is bound to fail sooner or later.

CONGRATS! my 03 in the range is currently at 111k on it. Head gaskets done under extended warranty at 91k. I run 15w 30 in the summer and have no problems... The only time I might have the oil light come on is when I park on a steep incline. Good luck!

Mm I might be concerned about that. Anytime it comes on an 03 you should watch out. Are you positive that's why it comes on? Even still you might want to add a little bit of oil.

Mine's never come on because of an incline. It did once because my oil was super low and on incline but that was some time ago and my noob days are over.

Pretty sure... Its only when parking overnight on a steep incline, *like driveway instead of garage* And it only happens in certain weather (we have drastic weather in Wisconsin). I'm to the millage where if it blows, it'll just get written off.

Yeah my oil pressure is strong. Always 44 -46 at 2500rpm. On super hot days in summer 10-12 at hot idle. It has been to 8psi but its rare. And higher in the winter of course. I have never had the oil light on. Oh one time when I did the ATF fllush. I have a digital oil pressure gauge I keep my eyes glued to.

I was thinking about the Erling Head Gaskets, when I need them. I have heard they are good. I dont know what AB sells. I have found the Erling's on eBay for about $50.
I have an extra set of Heads rebuilt and ready to install when the time comes. I'm not afraid to do the heads now with all that I have had apart on this thing. Shoot removing the top manifold for the sparks was enough of a pain. Not much scares me now. All you need is time, patience, the RAVE and this forum.

Next mods are rear steel bumper, and installing my QT diff guards, and replace the coolant hoses.
I am on the original HG's and also in the "Death Vin Range" with strong oil pressure. I guess there are good 2003's out there and I got one. I bought it as the 2nd owner at 58,000 on it. I run Mobil 1 and Royal purple, in all diffs and TC case.

wait for it,,,,,
