oooohh!!! Pick me!!! I'll be the test subject!!! I used the CRC cleaner he is talking about. Followed the directions. Sprayed it down... lot of crap came off of it, let it dry then put it back on. 2 days later, no problems, no CEL. So far, so good. It says to use it at each airfilter change which I've done so I'll see what happens. Besides, the truck has been running well lately and we all know that's not right... a Disco without problems should be sold!!

Yours is a D1, they are more for giving then a D2 with a Bosch MAF.

Didn't know he had a D2. Didn't know there was that much of a difference. But after reading thru all these posts, it seems the D2 is "sensitive." It's bad enough dealing within a sensitive woman... I don't need that from my Rover as well....... ok then, sloppyjoe can be the test subject!!!

Well Joe doesnt have any MAF problems, he was just thinking of prevenative maintence.
And DI MAF will take to cleaning. I cleaned mine with carb cleaner when I first bought my truck.
