Well Joe doesnt have any MAF problems, he was just thinking of prevenative maintence.
And DI MAF will take to cleaning. I cleaned mine with carb cleaner when I first bought my truck.
Wait wait wait... On a DI you CAN clean the MAF? Did I read that correctly?
Yes, yes you can. Just make sure that you use MAF cleaner and only use it as directed.
PersonallyI would not do but only like once every two years.

I used the CRC MAF cleaner on my D2 MAF about a week ago. No problems so far. Can't say I noticed any difference in better performance, but nothing broke.

You need to believe people when they say to not clean a Bosch MAF. Start a saving account for $200 plus, you will need it shortly.
By the way, why did you clean yours anyway???

I cleaned it because I have cleaned the MAF in all my other vehicles whenever I change the air cleaner. If I do end up with a dead MAF, that is ok, I have a spare. Grabbed one from a wrecking yard Disco II that I got some other spares from and it should be covered by my warranty as well.

I do appreciate all the advice and good information here, but sometimes you just have to do things your own way.
