Default Maf code

I have 2003 disco 2 that is running extremely rich. Just replaced spark plugs wires, coil packs, and maf. The maf code will not clear even with new maf sensor. Also continues to run rich. Any suggestions?

You could try cleaning the throttle plate. Sometimes so much carbon and gunk builds up on it that it holds the plate open so the throttle position sensor tells the computer that the throttle is open and it starts to add fuel for air that is not actually coming into the engine.

Wish I knew. Same thing here. I have new O2 sensors going on this weekend. OP ran it with 2 dead cylinders, killed the passenger side cat. Now only code left is rich on both banks.

I haven't tried this, but will tomorrow. That would be awesome if that is what it is.

Exactly which MAF fault code are you getting? Also, did you buy a new MAF with the exact part number on the barrel, if not that could be your problem.

I can't say 100% without looking at it in person of course, but I've seen this same thing happen on all kinds of vehicles. Cleaning the throttle plate never hurts anyway!
Good luck, I hope it fixes your problem!

Was pretty black at the plate, now it is clean and shiny. Will see results. Like you said could not hurt.

Bosch make a number of MAFs, many that look alike and won't work unless it is the correct one by part number. Where did you buy it from.
