Default Major Coolant Leak

Well, I have run into a new problem... A major coolant leak. Background: 2001 Disco II 80k miles, Friday I was driving home and got about a mile down the road when the temp jumped up to redline and the little light came on. So, I kicked the heater on and got off the road as quick as I could. Got out let it cool down a bit and opened up the coolant tank and it was bone dry, so I got some water and filled it back up. Managed to get home with no issues. Did a bit of running around yesterday(maybe 5 miles are so, had to get gas and the stuff for a oil change.) So I got out this morning and got the oil change done and was about to do a coolant flush, but I figured first I would check the level, back bone dry. So I filled it back up with water and it started coming back out the bottom(thought at first maybe a water pump but wasn't poring out fast enough) but I started up the car and noticed where it was coming out. On the passenger side on the back of the engine there was a small stream of water coming out. On the pic, in the area in side the yellow is about where I can see it coming out. So I let it run a bit and revved the motor a couple of times and I soon had a fairly fast flowing stream. What could have gone bad to be causing this??

Very common, you need head gaskets, better start shopping around for a shop that will quote you around $1499 plus any necessary head work.
Ny the wy, from your picture, you need to order a new set of 8mm Magnacor plug wires, those old wires you have are junk at your mileage.

AHHHHH dont tell me that... Just when you think your getting ahead a bit... One question though, wouldnt I be seeing oil in the coolant if the head gaskets were toast? And on the plug wires, they are not quite that old I did plugs and wires at 50k so about 30... but I guess when I am spending money I might as well spend away. So, if 1500 is good, what would the dealership want??

I have had it about 2 and a half years. Also, got another question, if its the head gaskets wouldn't it be overheating regularly? as long as I keep the coolant topped of its stay cool...

It overheats because it is low on coolant.
Do you know if the coolant has every been changed before?

Good to here that you had the coolant flushed when you were supposed to.
You need to pressure test the system. It might be a heater hose that is leaking, in the pic it is kinda hard to tell, and with it being hot and the engine running you cant stick your hand in there to find out for 100% where it is leaking from.
Take your wifes car and go to AutoZone and rent a cooling system PSI tester, fill your resevoir with water and then pressurize the cooling system and then feel around for the leak.
