Default Major Tune up

I have a 2000 D2 with 175k on it with a Major oil leak all i knew it was somewhere from the front of the engine hit the fan and sprayed everywhere (about a qt a week).. the last two days I replaced the oil pan seal, front main seal, timing chain seal, timing chain. it sounds easy just typing it but it was a lot of work. not hard work just a lot and very messy, dew to the leak. the only casualty was the brake servo hose and a few knuckles.

anyway when i filled the coolant back up i did it as the rave said and what i could find on here. lifted the jug 8in. opened bleed screw and filled it up till it had steady flow. the thing is it only took about 1 and 1/2 gal of fluid. and that does not seem right.

however i did have to by pass the heater core today too. i know its not recommended but i was loosing about 12 oz of coolant in my rug a day. and will have to wait till next weekend to tackle that project.

thanks for all the tips !

Jason
