Default Making Disco II quieter?

My parents always drove sedans (Audi A6 and a Hyundai Sonata) I got a Disco II and my parents complain that it's too loud and sounds more like a tank. Is it possible to make it quieter? I was thinking maybe replace the stock exhaust system.

Um, no.
As long as there are no exhaust leaks you cant make it quieter.
They need to consider that their cars have a V6 at best and you have a V8 and it weights over 2 tons.
Its a truck not a luxury sedan.

Add in that their cars have overhead cams which are quieter than a pushrod engine like yours.
Timing belts are quieter, you have a timing chain and gears.
They are front wheel drive, you are full time four wheel drive.
They have soft cushy tires, you have truck tires.

My first response as a kid would been to have made it louder. I'll give you kudo's for asking, but as Spike said if everything is in proper repair... um No.... The funny thing is our Disco is the quietest vehicle out of my families fleet with only a low rumble. Just enjoy the rumble of a good old fashioned V8 and nicely remind your parents you could be one of the kids driving past the house in an "enter name" with a big fart can sticking out the back of it.

Dad's car is a V8 4.2L, All wheel drive and I think the weight comes close to 2 tons.

I Love the rumble, i fell in love when I first heard it in the 2010 Range Rover commercial.

I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting your comment or not, but you should keep ignorant little statements like that to yourself....

I think your misinterpreting it. I didn't mean to offend anyone, like I said in the original post. I will remove it

EDIT:wait, ignorant? Clearly In the disclaimer I said I don't mean to offend anyone. Not even explaining the situation (which I have) and just putting statements is ignorant, yes. You didn't even quote me entirely and making me look like a little ****** online. Thanks
