Default Master cylinder leak question

So....I was feeling lucky. No issues for months! Then noticed a small puddle under the left front. Looks like my master cylinder is leaking right at the mount. It has been cold here (8-10 deg) so that might have killed the o ring. Looks pretty straightforward but I have few questions.

1. Looks like it can be done without a full bleed. Anyone know the success rate on this? Or care to guess? I do have a Foxwell 510 if a bleed is needed but I would like to avoid it if possible.
2. The AB rebuild kit is about $120. So are the aftermarket complete master cylinders. Knowing aftermarket parts can be hit or miss on quality would the pros here rebuild or replace. The OEM part is a million dollars.

Added - Just took a closer look. The reservoir is branded Land Rover so maybe that means its a OEM part so rebuild might be best. maybe it means nothing. I also noticed the reservoir feels a bit loose. It wobbles side to side and the leak might be coming from the seals below that vs from the rod/plunger. Anyone have thoughts on that as a possibility?

Reservoir seals leaking on a D1/D2 is pretty common. Rebuild kits do work, but I haven't had any issues with using an aftermarket MC either

I am just about to tackle this job myself. Same issue, cold weather and started leaking. I purchased the whole assembly from Rovers North (proline) and seems to be good quality but only time will tell.

Thanks for the replies. Wondering if the reservoir can be slid off and seals replaced without removing anything else.

I rebuilt the one in my truck about nine years ago using a rebuild kit. I don't remember just why, but when I finished I recall wishing I'd just bought the whole master cylinder for not a whole lot more money. Something about doing the rebuild turned out to be a PITA.

You can track down the reservoir seals by themselves for about 30.00, the more expensive kit includes a new reservoir itself and honestly I have yet in all my years ever seen a D1/D2 reservoir get a crack and leak. The kit's were down to around 45.00 at one point then the prices just kept going up, and up until buying an entirely new MC was the best option.
