Default Max Lift

What is the largest lift and tire size that can be put on a DII without running into other problems like brake lines, steering geometry, gearing etc. Also, what are the part numbers for the Pro Comp shocks to go with the respective lift? Under the ES9000 series, there are different versions to choose from.

I say 2" on the safe side.
Some might say 3" is okay, but I think if you are going to go off-road at all then with 3" you will need at least extended brake and ABS (Drive shaft is also a good idea). You might be okay with 3" if you never go off-road and just want to do the lift for looks, but I would recommend 2".

I run 2" medium duty Terrafirma springs and +2 shocks with 265/75 and all is good.

What is the difference in the max tire size between a 2" and 3" lift.

I would stick with the 265/75. I had to trim a small amount of the stock bumper so they wouldn't rub. They barely fit with a 2" lift, but are perfect for the 3". If you are going to put on a slimline front and rear type bumper then you might be able to jam some bigger tires in there, but I wouldn't know the exact size.

Are you on 16" rims?

Some people will tell you that if you go above a 32" tire you will need to regear. 265/75/16 are just over 31.5" (so are called 32's) Others say they run 285/65/16 without regearing and it is fine...but I'm not on that side.

I have the same setup as Jared except I have a TJM front bumper and there are no issues with tire rubbing.

So with a 3" lift I would run into gearing problem before clearance or geometry issues?

Gearing will depend on the tire size. Lift will effect Drive Shaft, but you can purchase a spacer to correct that problem.

I have 265/75R16 ATs on a 2 inch lift and I have not regeared. I have 285/75R16 on the way and it will be getting regeared soon after.

I'm actually having an issue blowing out shocks that I needed to contact old man emu about. About a year ago my rears blew out after some mild off roading in the desert and now the fronts went after driving on a rocky road.

And I do push my rover hard but one would think shocks could handle a bit more stress. (2" Heavy duty lift)
