Mechanic stumped
Hello all,
I am looking for some information, my 99 disco 2 was repaired about 3 weeks ago for a blown head gasket(water in oil).
Disco was repaired, no cracks in block or heads or slipped sleeves, heads were machined and I went on my way..mater of fact the car ran better than ever!!! about 13 days later, one afternoonit over heated and I stoped..checked the oil....water in oil again, so, my mechanic had the car towed to his shop,
the car was taken apart again, to find the head gasket was in perfect shape, checked the timing cover gasket, again, perfect shape, he called the land rover tech help..they told him things to check, my mechanic checked each one.....everything checked out fine.
Now, my mechanic and the rover guy are stumped....where is the water coming from to get in the oil??????????...all gaskest check out.
any info would be helpful!!
Thanks
Ralph
