Default In the Middle of the T-Case change???

There seems to be an extra censor on the Original T-case 2002,That the 2004 t-case does not have.

It is about the size of a small can of tuna that is bolted to the T-case and has a 2 wire connector.

Mike, it is the dome looking thing the Blue wire is draped over.

The 2004 case just has a flat spot there.

Default CDL Pic

Mike,

I am currently having a problem with engaging my CDL. I have already resolved the problems with the linkage being frozen in place with dirt and corrsion, it moves easily to all positions but does not engage the CDL.

I purchased the safety switch, in front of the solenoid cover in the picture. I have cleaned the area pretty good, but i do not see a release on the little two wire connector. Is there any trick to disconnecting the switch, I don't want to screw up the connector.

Also, I did some modification to gain better access to the switch and solenoid area since I was having a problem even seeing or reaching anything in there. I pulled out the carpeting and padding down to the bare floor pan and drilled four corner holes then cut out an access panel directly over the switch in the curved area of the transmission tunnel.

I have some minor rust issues to resolve in the fron passengers floor pan seams and I wanted full access to the above area.

Mike
I am having a heck of a time attempting to remove the existing switch for the CDL.
What method do you use. I am trying one of those crows foot adapters but I can't seem to get any good results. Also cannot get the little two wire connector off either.

Thanks again.

Default CDL Switch

Mike,
Heres some pics of the switch and the cutout I made for access.

Problem 1 - Cannot get connector off of original switch.

Problem 2 - cannot get old switch to budge as far as removing.

Problem 3 - Replacement switch is smaller size nut than original switch.

Reading across the two wires with ohm meter shows open circuit no matter which position shifter is in.

Thanks for any help.
