Default Miliage/gear selection LED on dash supposed to be lit?

I just noticed (I rarely drive at night) that there is no light that I can find to illuminate the led screen on the dash that shows the miliage and gear selection... is it supposed to be lit all the time, with lights on, or is there a switch somewhere for it?

Well, I know the bulb is out in my 03, so my odometer is not lit up EVER. I've got the bulb, but I just haven't had time to replace it yet. I'm not sure of it lights up all the time or not.

YAW100020 should be the part number for the odometer bulb.

I'm going to be in western Massachusetts at the end of this week. Is that close to your part of New York? If so, I could bring the hawkeye and we can probably turn off the blinking.

It won't reprogram it, but you can turn the option to blink off in the BCU setup. I did it on my 99.
