When I took it in, the code was for the purge valve, so checked all the connections, cleaned the Purge valve, etc. SES went away, but still getting misses.
l'm sorry, but how would this be considered the "same experience"? He's got three different codes than you, all misfire related. You had a purge valve code. Nothing similar about these two conditions at all. EDIT: Unless, you're just talking about the boat towing part of the equation? If that's the case, all good and my apologies for sounding a bit harsh at first. But, l just hate to see the original poster get sidetracked with other types of repairs that will not help his issue.

Anyhow...

Both his misfires are from the same coil pack. Just finished changing my coil pack minutes ago, misfire #1 and #6, (codes P1300, P0301, P0306), which, it's the same coil pack for both of those wires/cylinders...changed coil pack and it corrected the issue. Changed wires while l was in there.

I was merely responding to the boat towing. just commenting that I am following this as I also had a similar starting point. And, as I haven't solved mine yet, I will keep an eye on this thread as it may end up I do have similar issues...

So, it's still missing...but you're not getting the same code (purge valve) or any codes?

You may need to replace purge valve.

To EHGIII -- I texted you 3+ hours ago at the number you provided but I haven't heard from you. Please let me know whether or not you still want the full set of Magnecors. I'm happy to give them to you.

Purge valve replaced with the Hyundai part from the Dealership.... they gave me a discount ($90 down to $75), but still not cheap. Still missing. Heading back in to see if there are any new codes. I do find it interesting I started getting the misfire while pulling the boat... but I am attributing that to a weak spark or bad wire. they were replaced by the PO....
