Default Missing bolt

So I was under the disco swapping out the swaybar links today and noticed a threaded hole without a bolt in it on the shallow end (towards the rear of the vehicle) of the engine sump. I have a feeling something is supposed to be in there, but maybe I'm wrong?

I checked the oil which I changed last week and it's still at full capacity, so at least it's not dumping (much) oil out. Still worrisome having an open mystery hole in the bottom of the disco

I don't have one either but mine is dry. I wouldn't be surprised if it was for some add on or maybe an idea that got canned

I assumed it was for a bracket to hold cooling lines or something. It definitely causes no leak. Maybe it is used on other models and not ours?

I have this hole too.

If it was drilled all the way through into the pan it'd be perfect for an oil line leading to a small turbo. Instead of how most aftermarket turbo kits just replace the oil pan bolt.

Just imagine a turbo on this over stressed motor. It would be awesome for like 10 minutes before exploding haha
