Default Model Differences

Im sorry guys,

I am new here, just registered. I am a LONGstanding forum person, have near 6k posts over at vwvortex.com, and know how frustrating it can be when information is posted all the time and the newbie just asks without searching. I did try and search, but came up with nothing and am sure its just my lack of knowledge in what to search for that is causing that. I am thinking of getting into the Land Rover scene but have some questions about the models. I can do well with the Discovery II and that is what I hope to get, but with the 96-98 Discoverys Im guessing SE was Sport Edition and LSE was Luxory Sport Edition? EIther way, I know the package differences for the most part, but what I have come to be fond of is the LE7. What makes a 1997 Discovery LE7 special, and also whats different from the LD7? Also, are things like the cold weather package included on certain models, or what? I want to get the most features for my money, can someone lend a helping hand. Thanks guys.

Sorry, I wish i could help you with telling you what the differences are, but I do not know what the specs were for the USA.

I can confirm though that the letters you see. mean nothing. SE does not mean sports edition, etc etc.. The letters are just picked for the sound and for you to be able to tell what spec the vehicle may be.

That does help. I will go ahead and just compare the SE7 and LSE models, those seem to be the two I am interested in. Thanks though!
