Montana Winter

My Disco I, RR, and Series lived through several (miserably cold) Colorado winters (-40 to -50 for a few nights). Block heaters, 5W30 oil, Optima battery, I think that's all i did to prepare. Air suspension at -39° is a pain. Also, your tires might take a few rotations to get the overnight flatter spots rounded out. I also remember the shocks being super stiff until they moved around a bit.
Oh, if it's super cold, make sure you crank for up to 30 seconds to see if it will fire up rather than cranking for 5 seconds over and over and flooding your engine. If you're in a small enough town people actually leave their trucks running while getting groceries. I don't miss the sensation of your nose hairs all freezing instantly at all.

Snow is fun but. I had the joy of getting stuck in one of our lesser used driveways (in between 2 orchards) on the way home from getting pizza. There were ruts and we had a few feet of snow that melted a bit formed a crust and then got snowed on. Suffice to say I ended up with all 4 tires off the ground and the family got to eat cold pizza while I dug my truck out at night in the middle of a near blizzard.
