Default More Limb Risers/Bush Cables

Thanks to Urban Panzer, jycsalas and rj95lss for the helpful write-ups to make this an easy DIY cheap mod.

I spent a little under $30 at Lowes and Wal-Mart to make these limb risers that I actually could have used about 2 weeks ago, but will probably never need again. But what the heck, I think it looks cool and that's all that matters

I used coated 3/16" cable and some conduit hangers so I didn't have to drill into my roof rack. I did however drill into the brush guard since the cable runs so close to the hood & fenders I didn't want any flexibility there. I will probably paint everything black eventually so it blends in a little better with my truck. Enjoy!

Materials.....

Conduit Hanger attachment at roof rack...

Test Fit...

Finished Product...

Turnbuckle and attachment at brush guard...

Love it!
Thats one thing I dont like about my a-frame bar, I can't add limb raisers.

The place my friend and I off road is private, so its gets over grown with Rhododendrons and the sounds of it hitting the body and window is awful... We cut most of it back, but after a while, you're like screw it and the torture begins!

Thanks man. Best part is I can open my hood without unhooking them. Just have to loosen them enough so they slide out of the way. You should find those brackets like U.P. and Josh have.

Cam, if you look at Panzers web site he does not have a full brush bar either.
I like the way Panzer does it, he uses these things that attach to your fender and then you attach the risers to those.
I do not know what they are called.
I will do mine the way YLO did because it is cheaper.

Here's Josh's brackets. Pretty classy.

And here's the website....http://www.bushcables.com/ Looks like they liked his setup so much, he became their poster child!

You'll find that if you add a spring on each that you'll incur less body damage if you hit a rather large limb.

I saw those in the pet isle, oddly enough. I may have to add those if I start finding some crazy terrain
