Default More rookie questions

OK, when driving slow over rough roads there is a thump, thump, thump at the back. I thought it was the air suspension but now i see it is worn rubbers in some kind of stabilizer bars from the frame to the rear diff, just behind the diff. What is the correct name for these and can you get them from say Napa or do i need to talk to Atlantic British.

Next question. Was getting ready to bleed the brakes when i saw Dot 4 only on the resovoir. I have used Dot 5 on motorcycles but never Dot 4. Is this a must ?

Thanks again for any info. Greatly appreciated.

To answer your first question with a question: Do you have the RAVE CD/manual downloaded? If not you should, you can just look at the diagrams for what part(s) you are every looking at/for.

2nd: I have used 3/5 on motorcycle but only 4 in my LR. Not sure the difference or if its a must but with stuff like that I just do what the manufacturer engineered the parts to run/work with. Guess this is more of a "2cents" post then an answer.

Good Luck-

i downloaded the rave manual but not having any luck getting it to work. It came as a zip file, i extracted all,and now have a rave folder but can't find the exe file. Granted, i'm not the sharpest on a computer.
The dot 4 question was kind of sad, i admit. Thanks rj

Yes you must use DOT 4, if you use DOT 5 it will eats your seals, and if your seals are eaten then you cannot club them.
