Default Mounting lights on stock bumper

I like to get to a few fishing spots well before sunrise. So I need more lighting. I was looking to see if anyone has mounted lights directly onto their stock Discovery bumper?

I don't need a winch/ new front bumper for my 04 discovery yet. just need an option for more lighting. Suggestions?

Here's what I did...nothing fancy, just drilled holes and bolted them up with the included hardware + some extra washers for extra support.

That will work, bit there is no bracing in the front bumper and the lights will shake a lot when driving.

This is the best, simplest and least expensive way to mount lights to you DII. This is the Simbar light bar from John Craddock's in the UK: <http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/products/gad211_light_bar_discovery_2_by_simbars.php>
Shipping was just under a week from the UK. Can't beat it. PM if you would like pictures and more information. John

JEFIII - how did you wire the lights into the cabin, and how are they switched?

How stable are the mounts? How does the bar mount to the bumper?

MU//M3: There are many wiring diagrams and switch suggestions on the forum and also on Dicoweb.org. You just have to search and decide what works best for your application and capabilities.

ebg18t: The Simbar mounts to the Bumper itself with included hardware. It is perfectly fine for it's intended application as a light bar, but I wouldn't reccomend it be used as a pushbar. Hope this helps. John

what about using this? it holds weight in shower and water proof! hmmmm and CHEAP! $24-$35! free shipping My measurement for Disco 2 is 29" and I can find the 30" and if in middle 12-18" id think but its really close to the grill and not sure lights would fit.... just an idea...
