i have a problem the res warning light for the automatic transmission lights up on the dash a different times and the temp in the box is about 50 to 60 degrees C....the gears change normally all the time....help

 

try cleaning sensor and connection....worked for me

 

My light pops on very seldomly from time to time. I think last time it showed it ugly face it was driving through a three foot snow drift the time before that I hit a massive puddle on the highway at speed.

Like Dusty pointed out (false positive) nothing to worry about. Try cleaning the sensor.
