I am asking this question for a friend of mine, He wants to know what the best way to clean the engine of his disco is. Would a power washer be to strong to spray in the engine? We saw "engine soap" for power washers and never thought about actually spraying the engine. He isn't going to until someone tells him its ok!! If there is a better way let me know so i can pass it on to him!! THANKS!

 

Its fine. Just keep the pressure wand far enough away that you aren't pushing water where it shouldn't be.

 

As long as it is not a D1, then you stand a chance of getting the ECU wet, so what year is this truck, is it a D1 or D2?

Wrap your alt. with a plastic bag(make sure your engine is cool) and then wash it off carfully...
