I can't seem to find the "how to bleed a DII" link. Could you give me a little more direction?

Ok. I'm trying to bleed the system right now but the coolant is just sitting in the reservoir filled to the top. How much time should i give it to get to the bleeder screw?

you opened the bleed screw right?
Open the bleed screw and the coolant will come out and once it comes out steady replace the bleed screw, just snug the screw do NOT over tighten because it will break.
Then continue with the rest of the bleeding.

I opened the bleed screw before adding coolant to the reservoir. should i have opened the bleed screw after adding the coolant? And should i take the bleed screw off completely or just loosen it?

I usually pull the expansion tank off and put it on the battery cover. Fill it up to the top and then loosen the bleed screw. Bleed it until all the air is gone and refill the tank. I then run the engine until it gets to temperature and let it cool and re-bleed it. It may take a week of driving and a few top-offs to get it completely bled if for instance you had your cylinder heads off. If you are superstitious dump in a bottle of purple ice or water wetter. It's surfactant of sorts that helps reduce the surface tension of water. Not sure if it actually keeps things cooler but it makes me feel better with it in there.

Fill the resevoir to the top, remove the bleed screw.
Replace the bleed screw.
Top off resevoir and continue with the rest of the precedure.

You removed the tank and lifted it up as high as it could go? Did anything come out the bleed screw hole? You are going to make Sir Newton very unhappy if he hears your Disco is defying the physical laws of nature.

Thanks lipadj, that did the trick. But when i turned the hvac on hi it didn't get hot. So after about twenty minutes I put the cap back on the tank and shut the engine off. What does that mean if the heat doesn't kick in?
