No it doesn't work with the steering wheel controls. You can buy a steering wheel audio control adapter. I didn't buy one because I can truly live without turning my volume up and down with the steering wheel controls and just using the volume control on the stereo. The stereo also came with a remote which I also don't use.

Default mCAR Bluetooth

This is the best handsfree I found so far: Land Rover 04 13 4in1 Bluetooth Handsfree USB iPhone iPod Streaming Audio Kit | eBay
It is only $300 and does everything I need, handsfree, streaming, phone, phone book, USB, speech and iPod. Better than OEM kit. Also docs are at mCAR Multimedia Interface - Land Rover

Hey there spam! I like how the "best solution" won't even work in the Discovery.

Sorry, I did not notice the year. It works for me with the 2004 6CD radio.

No it doesn't, go away. We don't care for spam here.

Looks like you have a Range Rover, not a Land Rover Discovery. You OEM stereo is based on the BMW system which is pretty complicated to say the least. The Discovery head unit on the other hand is a pretty unsophisticated POS that is rockin a cassette player.

Just spam, they don't own a Rover.
