Default my 03 disco is shuts off when I come to a stop

I have an 03 discovery and when I come to a stop the the engine dies. I looked through some of the threads and I don't know if it is the cpu. could it be something else? I also crawled up under the rover and found that the transfer case maybe leaking. I don't think that this is the reason. also the engine light comes on and will stay on and then at times it shuts itself off. please help...

With all due respect, lets start from the begining.

1.How many miles does your truck have. 2 or 200,000.

2. You also say you have a CEL light come on occasionally. What are the codes.

3. A leaking transfer case will not cause your truck to shut off. It'll explode or sieze due to lack of fluid as opposed to what you are describing. But at the same time, clean it and check the level.

4. Do you have any other symptoms, rough idle, hard startup, lack of power.

You gotta give us a lil more than just the problem. When you go to the doctor and tell him your sick, do you just tell him that or do you explain how you have been feeling and what symptoms you are getting?

And a note on the transfer case, on some models the bolts that hold on the access plate pass all the way through the metalcase. The threaded ends of the bolts are immersed in oil inside. If they are not sealed when re-installed, you will continue to have leaks like in your photo. You just have to turn down your radio to hear that transfer gear whine. Now is it loud because it is 1/2 full? 3/4 empty? 90% empty? You can't tell. Need to do the fluid change and reseal the plate and bolts. And if this needs it, likely that oher drive line items need similar attention.

That is nice to know. I have resealed my inspection plate with black ATV silicone and it still slightly leaks. Now I'm removing one bolt at a time and squirting the "Right Stuff" to seal those dumb bolts. Sweet! Also the upper inspection plate can leak on the T/C but I dont think I can remove it with out dropping the case. The 75w 140 gear oil has almost eliminated my leaks. At least so slow no drips on the driveway anymore.

What about basic maintenance history, like plugs and wires?

Are you really tryin to make this as hard as humanly possible?

Can we get a mileage on how long ago plugs and wires were changed

And can someone with RAVE access please give me a quick translation?
