My baby's back!
My '03 Disco arrived after 3 years of storage (I was on a tour in Korea). It held up well, although the oil was toast; my K&N filter wasn't on it so I'm not quite sure what the storage company did in terms of oil changes, although the wife told me she saw on some paperwork that they replaced it with an unknown synthetic.
So I put her through a nice engine flush to clean the pipes and put some in some fresh mobil 1. I did the seafoam treatment, and I finished the 60K service prior to putting her in storage. If anyone has any input on any checks I should do after 3 years of sittle idle (it was started once a month) then feel free to share. I still have to lube everything and check the air filter.
If anyone knows any good trails and camp sites in the Colorado Springs area post your favorites! I'm looking forward to getting in the dirt.

I would make sure all the coolant hoses are good and tight/secure. And double check the serp belt. Basically anything rubber, that is important, that could go bad/brittle over time sitting etc.
Check for any possible leaks that first few weeks of driving for sure.
Glad to have you back safe from the tour, and thank you for serving!

Oh and take your tires off and put them back on. Sounds silly I know. Mine sat a lot it seems before I bought it, the front tires were a pita to take off. Had to kick, pull the tire etc to losen it off the lug studs. After I got em off now they pop on and off easy. Might save ya some energy and fustration to go ahead and do it now and maybe put some grease on the lug studs while your at it.

Thanks Sloan. On that advice I checked the undercarriage and there is a boot at the bottom of the fron driver-side wheel steering mechanism (I have no idea what to call it I will probably get a picture), and it has disintegrated. I imagine that should get replaced...
Also the tires were inflated to 46 PSI each!!! I don't know what they were thinking. I did some major air-letting to the spec on the door jamb. Thanks for the imput!!

Welcome back!
X2 to everything above, the rubber stuff is what I'd be most concerned about, take it easy on the gas and brakes, and keep a close eye out for any new leaks.
And X100 THANK YOU for your service!
