Default Is my condenser fan broken?

I took it out to clean my condenser and try and straighten some fins, of which I have a ton that are bent, and it squeaked a bit when I test turned it. Then I realized that was the squeaking sound I've heard before, which had mysteriously gone away recently.

Also, when my A/C was on the other day, I heard a rapid "th-th-th-th" sound that eventually went away after a while Saw a big bee and a butterfly dead at the bottom of the fan when I pulled it out, wonder if that was dragging across the fins, destroying them. But the sound went away, and since then I haven't heard the squeaking. And now I'm wondering if my condenser fan stopped the sound because it broke. I turned on my car after reconnecting the fan tonight, and looked at the fan, and it didn't come on, despite A/C being on full blast, ambient temperature being 88 degrees per the dash itself, and being at idle. Per the service manual, shouldn't it have come on?

Any ideas on how to be sure it's actually broken before I try replacing it?

Also, just found the 40amp fuse for it was blown, in the engine compartment fuse box, so replaced it and it started up, but it's making that noise again. I imagine it'll blow again soon... Anyone know what that sound indicates is broken?

Here's a short video of it

Edit: Already blew the fuse again.

For what its worth, the OEM condenser fan motor is a Denso. The same motor is used in the Toyota Corolla. I think the year I used was from 98-01 when I changed mine. Everything fits well but you would have to splice your old plug onto the motor wiring, and of course replace the fuse.
Pretty easy.

I bought one at Advance Auto. I think it was $33, lifetime warranty. I replaced it (free) after one winter, but the second one has lasted three winters now.

Sorry-- did not see your post until I got to work today. Receipts are at home, but I can check tonight. I bought it before Advance bought Carquest. I did a quick search of the Advance website, and it does look like they do not list it.

No worries NickAdams, I went with a used fan on eBay, $50 bucks, with warranty. Also got a used condenser with 90 day warranty for $30, to replace mine which has so many messed up fins from the fan going haywire, I'm told.

The Corolla fan = D1. D2 fan is a different unit.

That'll teach me to post without double checking.
Best4x4 is keeping me honest on one thing, I just checked the receipt (I fixed this a couple months ago).
It very much is a Corolla AC fan, but the year of came from was 98-01, not as early as I thinking.

The exact fan I used ($26 shipped):

Toyota does have a dual fan setup though, with 2 different motors, so be sure you get the correct one (I think this is the left side fan motor).

Yeah the Corolla's have 2 efan's the engine mounted one is probably the one that works on the D2. I know for a fact the AC efan on the (mounted in front of the AC Condenser) Corolla fits the D1 as I went junk yard hunting when I first bought my D1 over a year ago and was fixing it up. I think I paid $3.00 per efan motor.

If you need the efan for a D1/D2 and you do go the junk yard route here is a tip. Take the time to remove the fan blade, and the motor from the OEM Corolla housing. It won't do you any good on your LR's and when you go to pay it'll be much cheaper vs the entire efan which junk yards usually charge around 25-35.00 for.
