My dash has gone mad

Cats that have caused me all this anguish. It seems pretty simple and a straightforward fix. I know to disconnect the battery but other than that any warnings or suggestions?!

I've kept rodents as pets before, I know I know don't judge. And they love chewing on low voltage wires. Makes their gums tingle, I read somewhere. I had big problems with hamsters eating my fancy speaker wires.

However, my speedometer is 0 to 50 real quick! It is driving me nuts! Any guided advice on removing the dash to see what is going on back there?! I gotta believe the mice gained access to that area.
I need help people before I get tickets!

The dash isn't very hard to get apart. I haven't had mine apart in a long time, so I don't remember where all the screws are. They're not hard to find. Just don't pull on anything too hard and break it! If it won't come out, there's probably a screw still in it somewhere.
Before you do that, have you tried watching your speed on a scan tool compared to the speedo? I would do that first.

The nightmare continues. Some previous work has been done here. But I'm not sure what I've stumbled upon. I think these cables run to an O2 sensor.
My horn never beeps when i lock my doors with my key and guess what??? After moving these cables around and locking my door my horn beeped. I was dumbfounded.
