Default Is my Disco II pre-wired for heated seats?

Browsing through an Atlantic British catalog and I noticed a "Heated Seat Activation Kit" with switches and a new bezel for the console where the window switches are located. The text in the add is kinda vague but seems to imply that all DII's have heated seats. - Does this mean that my Disco already has the heating elements in the seats and all the wiring up to the back of the bezel? Just need switches and then I have heated seats?

Apparently so !!! all you should need, is the switches. Someone will confirm, but I've read that more than a few times.

It was cheaper for them to build with all of the wiring and elements. Pretty common on most vehicles. I added cruise and foglights to my cherokee and all of the wiring was there already.

I wish this was true on my D1, it is the biggest thing I miss. I seem to have the assatall deficiency common to the Brits. ( No Offense Guys...) At least I have cloth, so it isn't too cold in the winter....

Has anyone installed this kit on an 2001 disco II that can confirm the process? I have seen a kit being sold on e-bay with similar claims. When you called AB what did they have to say?

The switches go in the fascia with your window switches, so you will need a new plate. The ad says he will throw one in for $15. This setup should work. If you are in doubt, pull the cover and look for the wires...

We'll find out tomorrow morning when I install my new switches. I'm 50/50 with my expectations.
