Last week we took down an old engine that was out of my 00 DII and took everything to the machine shop to get tested out. Today we heard back from the machine shop and everything is good except the heads which need to be shaved (standard on most rebuilds anyway). We got new gasket sets and a timing chain ordered already, so this thing should be up and running next week. Sorry Spike you will have to make furniture out of a different engine block =).

We are going to put this one up for sale as an entire power plant, since I still have all the sensors and fuel injection stuff.

How many miles on it? Check the lifter, rocker and rocker shafts for wear while you are in there.

 

We took everything in there. even the old bearings =). it had 76k on if i remember correctly.

 

oh and yes we are replacing the bearings we just wanted to make sure there was nothing over looked. the owner of Zstreetrods is Swiss AKA Mister Perfection.....
