yeah i will take a look to see if there is a place to weld in a box i know urban panzer did that need to look at his write up.

Check this link (http://www.dap-inc.com/acc/app/d2/d2...ch.shtml#winch). They offer an under bumper winch mount for a DII @ $175. If that is too rich, you could try (http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...unt-90476.html) and modify.

do you know if that DAP is really for our trucks? its show on a hummer in that pic looks like a generic.

As for whether it fits, if DAP is selling it, you can pretty well bet it does; all they cater to is LR.

its a great idea but i have other problems to tackle not to mention it would nice to have one of Spikes new custom bumpers cuz i could use the recovery points and i want the limb riser tabs.....

I have a Dap mount on my 2000 D2. I also added some extra brackets to give it more strength in all directions. Without the brackets it seems like it might move under high load. I have a warn M8000 on it. I have not had to use the winch yet, but its there when I need it.
